It’s
the beginning of a new chart designed to freshen things up and give you
a current perspective of the music video scene within the industry.
A number of new videos are currently busting the music scene, with a steady rise in viewership and recognition.
Leading the chart this week is Iyanya who is having a swell time with the colourful marriage video ‘Applaudise’. This is almost becoming MMG season.
Another
man who is enjoying a renaissance is D’banj. The MAMA Evolution winner
is at the second spot with his polarizing visual for ‘Knocking on my door’. His new EP is on the brink of a release, and more videos are coming.
Next
on the list is Wande Coal who is currently working on a new album. His
new single ‘Ashimapeyin’ makes this list with increase in demand and
acceptance. D’banj comes in hotly behind with his trap-fusion song with
Ice Prince ‘Salute’.
Evil takes the next spot as a dark ominous video from Falz and Phyno ‘Karishika’
gets the nod on this list. The video is currently a favorite on the
streets and can only go farther than it is. As a matter of paradox, it
sits ahead of a faith-influemced song, ‘Blessings’ by Yung6ix and conscious veteran OritseFemi.
Koker’s thrilling party visual ‘Do something’ which stars the entire Chocolate City family is charts at the 7 spot, Yemi Alade’s pleads for love at the 8 position with ‘Duro timi’.
Mo ‘Cheddah sits at the 8 spot with her budget-CGI visual, and Praiz props it all up with the cinematic ‘Lost in you’.
The
Pulse Music Video Charts is put together by Pulse.Ng’s team of seasoned
music experts, backed by data from visual streaming platform, Youtube,
and opinion polls from our readers.
Enough talk, let’s get this started.
