WHATEVER HAPPENED TO CHIVALRY

Whatever HAPPENED TO CHIVALRY

When the titanic hit an iceberg and sank more than 81 years ago, only about a third of the great ship’s passenger survived. Most were woman and children. Several male passenger refused to enter lifeboats  because they weren’t sure all the woman were safely abroad. When a surviving ship’s officer was later asked whether “woman and children firth” was the captain’s rule or rule  of the sea, he replied  that it was the rule of human nature. In those days, rather in the Victorian era , woman were called ma am, madam, your lady, they were  greeted with a bow and a courtesy. But one would look back and say where did all that go to? Man and woman struggle to get sit in a bus. A Woman  carries bag load of goods; no man is willing to help her. Whatever happened to those words …..’ladies firth, excuse me madam or after you please. Whatever happened six o’clock being six o’clock and not 10:30pm or rather not show up at all and not beings apologetic about it?
Is being macho in vogue that it forbid chivalry? A woman works 10hrs a day, and get back home to manage the kids. Her man demand for good sex, good food, good woman good  home, and he wants them all now but show no tender care to know how she manages all these on her own.  Where has all TLC [Tender Loving Care] flown to? I know there are some man show TLC and support their woman, but the percentage and gap is still very wide-trust me. I have done my research …. The essence, and value placed on woman these days is really insignificant.
Since the 1960s, an entire generation  has gleefully rejected victorian manner  as rigid snooty and a little old fashioned. A lady walks along the road and she’s being hissed and booed at and called derogatory names… what ever happened to chivalry?
I recall those days, a man will specifically ask a woman he desire out…. He would literally  say “ I would like to date you, would you be my girlfriend?”, but now its under the covers, or it just  flows …whatever happens. Or are woman the cause and curse of this revolution  of  change? have our appearances, catwalk, visage allowed  the man to think, act or change their ways?
Yet I venture to say that many woman like me( woman I hope I got your backs on this ) would welcome a little old-fashioned values-like opening the door , greeting with a warm hand shake and pleasant smile, asking her out for date without demanding intimacy, and call her names her heavenly father prefers and not… you know those names they like to call.
Certainly I cannot recapture the past any more, but woman still demand the upper most respect and courtesy.
Remember, if a woman can survive pregnancy, childbirth and menopause  while  still running an office and organizing the home front, she can do almost anything–  she’s certainly phenomenal. Now I am not against the man – NOT AT ALL   ; in fact without man there’s simply no us, our world surround you. there’s  a vacuum, emptiness in the way we are loved and treated by you. Call it old fashion or even archaic … the simple word is we just need more and much more …. Of what you may ask… hmmmm…… need I say more?
