Divine Tenn, who was working 20 hours a week at the Fort Parkway, Birmingham branch, was informed by her manager Jaskaran Singh Khela she would not be allowed any more shifts because of her race.
A spokesperson for McDonald's told HuffPost UK: "We took this incident extremely seriously and launched a full investigation.
"The employee concerned no longer works for the company and support is in place for the members of staff affected by the incident. McDonald’s is an inclusive employer and any incidences of discrimination against our employees will not be tolerated."
When Tenn questioned her boss, she was told it was "store policy".
Tenn, who has since quit, told the Sunday newspaper: "I am absolutely disgusted that a company so big and who I have worked hard for for over a year could treat me like this. I can't believe that racism
